When not engaging in professional trophy spec driving and off-road racing, Edwin Hammond Meredith supports several community-based organizations focused on youth welfare. Edwin Hammond Meredith is active with his local chapter of the Boys and Girls Clubs of America.
The Boys and Girls Clubs serve more than four million children in all 50 states. The organization offers a multitude of arts-focused programs for youth between 6 and 18 years old. Every year, participants in Boys and Girls Clubs arts programs can submit one of their creations to the National Arts Contest. Participants are first selected through local contests and then compete at regional and national levels. The contest is divided into three different competitions: - ImageMakers: photography focusing on several types of subjects. - National Fine Arts Exhibit: artwork made from several mediums, including watercolor and collage. - Digital Arts Festival: short films, songs, product design, and digital innovations. Winning entries are put on display at the Boys and Girls Clubs national headquarters in Atlanta and posted on the organization’s website.
